 The Barbara J. Pridgen Brown Memorial Nursing Scholarship honors Barbara’s life of service as an LPN at Providence Hospital, Group Health, and Kaiser Permanente, where she helped welcome countless babies and cared for families with steadiness and grace. This award supports aspiring and current nursing students who share her commitment to compassionate, hands-on care and to lifting their communities. Eligible applicants are enrolled or accepted into an accredited LPN, ADN, or BSN program. Preference may be given to students from Columbus County, NC. 

This season, ACP is supporting Columbus County DSS to bring holiday joy to children in foster care. DSS has identified 67 children who could use a little extra support this Christmas —

• 15 under the age of 5
• 27 between ages 5 and 11
• 25 between ages 12 and 18

We’re asking for your help to make sure every child receives a meaningful gift and feels remembered this holiday season.

• Donate new, unwrapped gifts (toys, books, clothing, gift cards for teens)
• Contribute financially to help ACP fill remaining needs
